May 2026 Work

This month we refreshed and expanded the site structure to improve navigation, strengthen topical relevance, and make the main adventure, activity, and blog destinations easier to discover.

The update focuses on three areas: the creation of new home pages, the reclassification of activity pages, and the launch of a dedicated blog category system that supports the wider promotion of Adventure Girona content.

New home pages created

In May 2026, three key pages were changed from general pages into home pages to better represent the brand and improve the user journey from the first click.

These home pages help present the adventure brand more clearly and create a stronger entry point for visitors searching for Girona adventure content.

Pages switched to activities

The following pages were updated from pages to activities so the site architecture now better reflects the user intent behind each experience.

This change makes the content easier to understand for visitors and helps separate adventure experiences from informational blog content.

New blog category launched

A new blogs category was created to support articles that promote the activities and improve search visibility around Girona, Barcelona, and Costa Brava topics.

Backlinks and homepage updates

The first 60 backlinks are available on the backlinks page here: Backlinks page.

The home-page was refreshed as well, and a view was added that shows all blog posts ordered by visitor numbers, from the highest to the lowest.

This makes the homepage more useful for visitors and gives stronger visibility to the content that already attracts the most interest.
