Canyoning Water Trekking Albanya Girona
Adventure Girona gives you access to a water trekking similar to canyoning, but without using rope or harness along the Muga River, which means “border”. This river with crystal clear waters marks the limit between northern Catalonia, the Vallespir, until it crosses the Alt Empordà. From Albanyà, a town near Figueres (1 hour from Girona and 2 hours from Barcelona) we will enter a space of pools and beaches that will invite you to bathe.
The activity that we propose is of a playful and educational nature, ideal to carry out with family, groups of friends or with colleagues.
This activity has as its common thread hiking and revolves around discovery. We will descend the Muga stream jumping, swimming and walking. We will admire its wells and the forms that the water has sculpted in its rocks and we will learn about the vegetation and animals of the area.
SEASON: This activity takes place between the months of May to September.
DIFFICULTY: Beginner – Level 0 (Levels are 0- 4)
ADVENTURERS: From 8 years of age up and can swim.
MEETING POINT: 9:00 and 14:00 at the camping entrance in Bassegoda Park en Albanyà - View Map
PARKING: 5 minutes from the meeting point. Participants will follow the guide's car in theirs.
DURATION: 4 hours from when we meet until we say goodbye (presentation of the activity and delivery of material 30 minutes, access 15 minutes, activity in the water 2 hours, return 5 minutes).

The water trekking carried out with Adventure Girona is done with the latest generation wetsuits, two-piece specific for canyoning from the Seland brand, robust and with interior Titanium fabric to provide greater warmth and comfort. Children's wetsuits are one-piece, plus thermal shirt or shorty neoprene, in this way a good thermal protection and ease when putting on and taking off the wetsuit is guaranteed. Helmets are provided too.
All the multi-activities that Adventure Girona offers are covered by an accident insurance as well as by the civil liability scheme, as required by the regulations in force that regulate Physical Sports Activities in the Natural Environment (Decree 56/2003).
