Canyoning Girona Spain
Level 0: Water Trekking
A low-difficulty activity perfect for the youngest adventurers. Unlike canyoning, this activity does not require ropes or harnesses. However, the more daring can enjoy jumps of varying heights.
Minimum age: 8 years
Requirement: Must be able to swim
Level 1: Beginner Canyoning
A fun, low-difficulty experience suitable for all ages. Participants will use a harness, with rappels ranging from 4 to 9 meters and optional jumps of up to 5 meters. Slides, such as in Osor Canyon, are gentle and mostly horizontal.
Minimum age: 8 years
Requirement: Must be able to swim
Level 2: Intermediate Canyoning
Low to medium difficulty with manageable thrills—perfect after Level 1 or for bold beginners. Rappels reach up to 28 meters, with optional jumps up to 7 meters and waterslides reaching 14 meters.
Minimum age: 10 years
Requirement: Must be able to swim
Level 3: Advanced Canyoning
A high-difficulty canyoning experience with controlled adrenaline. Suitable for participants with Level 2 experience. There are no escape routes at this level. Rappels are up to 20 meters, jumps up to 9 meters (optional), and waterslides up to 20 meters.
Minimum age: 12 years
Requirement: Must be able to swim
Level 4: Expert Canyoning
A challenging and physically demanding activity lasting up to 10 hours, including approach and return. Recommended only for participants with previous canyoning experience. There are no escape routes. Rappels reach up to 30 meters, optional jumps range from 4 to 12 meters, and waterslides can reach 20 meters.
Minimum age: 14 years

Professional Equipment and Safety
All canyoning activities with Adventure Girona include high-quality Seland wetsuits made from two specialized abseiling layers with inner Titanium fabric for warmth and comfort. Children’s wetsuits are one-piece with a thermal shirt or shorty option for extra protection and ease of use.
Each participant is equipped with a helmet, harness, descender, and double anchor output system. Neoprene socks are required when water temperatures are low, ensuring maximum comfort throughout the adventure.
All the multi-activities that Adventure Girona offers are covered by an accident insurance as well as by the civil liability scheme, as required by the regulations in force that regulate Physical Sports Activities in the Natural Environment (Decree 56/2003).
